A Passkey Time Clock on Your Employees' Own Phones

A passkey time clock lets employees clock in by confirming with their face, fingerprint or passcode on their own phone. With Passkey Punch, the face or fingerprint check happens on the phone and that data never leaves it. There's no app and no password, and nothing for a coworker to borrow.

What a passkey is

A passkey is a login saved on your own phone or other devices. You unlock it the same way you unlock your phone. Unlike a password or PIN, there's nothing to type, remember or tell someone else.

How it works with Passkey Punch

  1. Enroll once. Your manager sends a link. Open it on your phone with them there and tap "Enroll passkey."
  2. Scan the sign at work. The phone's location confirms you're on site.
  3. Confirm. Use your face, fingerprint or passcode, and you're clocked in or out.

Your face and fingerprint stay on your phone

Passkey Punch never receives or stores face or fingerprint data. The phone checks it locally and only tells Passkey Punch the passkey was used.

No app to install

Passkey Punch runs in the phone's browser, so there's nothing to download or update.

FAQ

What is a passkey, and how is it different from a PIN or password?

It's a login stored on your device and unlocked with your face, fingerprint or passcode. There's nothing to share.

Does Passkey Punch store my employees' fingerprints or faces?

No. It stays on the phone. Passkey Punch only gets confirmation that the passkey was used.

Do employees need to download an app?

No. It works in the phone's browser.

What if an employee doesn't have Face ID or a fingerprint reader?

They can use their phone's passcode. No smartphone? They can clock in on their own tablet or computer instead.

Can a passkey time clock stop buddy punching?

It removes shared PINs and passwords, and the location check stops punching from home. See how to stop buddy punching.
